Malfunctions of ABS
If ABS is disconnected, on the dashboard the ABS indicator lights up. If during this time the engine suppressed, and then started again, ABS again automatically joins.
With inclusion of ignition the ABS indicator on the dashboard flashes. It should go out, if the engine, the latest if the car moves with a speed more than 6 km/h works. If onboard tension falls below 10 In, the indicator lights up again. Also it can flash, if one wheel is scrolled more long than 20 pages. In this case it is necessary to switch off and again to turn on ignition, to get the engine.
If the indicator burns constantly, means, ABS is faulty. Respectively equipped workshop of Audi or Bosch should look for the reason of it. Not each workshop can perform this work because additional tools and the trained personnel are for this purpose necessary – so ask before leaving the car.
In house conditions you can check only plug connections to the control unit, to sensors of frequency of rotation or to the hydraulic block.

Help: even if the ABS indicator burns constantly that means – the anti-blocking system is disconnected, or is faulty, the car can use without restrictions. The brake system functions in this case as at the car which has not been equipped with ABS. |
