Fuel level sensor

The protective flange of a fuel tank located under the bottom of a luggage compartment

1–the bringing pipeline to injection system;
2–drain топливопровод from injection system (shooters point to fixing plates for removal of it топливопровода);

3 — the tip of the fuel pump and the fuel sensor.


It is shown on an example of the 5-cylinder engine:

1–the pipeline to a tank with absorbent carbon;
2–electromagnetic valve;
3–топливопровод to the case of throttle knot.

The arrow indicates the electromagnetic valve of a tank with model absorbent carbon with the 6-cylinder engine.

The tank with absorbent carbon is located behind in the right forward wheel niche (on an illustration it is shown at removed to a podkrylka).

Provision of installation of a protective flange: the arrow on a flange (1) should be opposite to a mark in a fuel tank (2).

On an illustration the removed protective flange (1) is shown:

2–electric wire of the fuel pump;
3–wire of the sensor of the indicator of amount of fuel;
4–the drain pipeline in a fuel tank;
5–the fuel accumulator (only in models with the 5-cylinder engine and system of injection of KE-III-Jetrolic).

The settler represented here is usually pasted in a fuel tank; on an illustration it is shown for the best presentation separately. Removal of the fuel sensor (1) possibly after pressing of the button (shooter). Thus there is an unblocking. The sensor can be extended now.

The fuel sensor is established from above in the case of the toplivozabornik located inside in the middle of a fuel tank. The description of a way of its action you will find Devices and auxiliary devices in head.

By the way, depending on various forms of a fuel tank there are various fuel sensors for front-wheel and all-wheel drive models. Distinction sign: the sensor with a rectangular float – front-wheel model, with a spherical float – all-wheel drive model.

 Help: the indicator of level of gasoline is not the high-precision device. Incorrectly showing sensor can be corrected indicator regulation on a control panel (head Devices and auxiliary devices).

Removal of the fuel sensor

 Important: the fuel tank should be filled a maximum to 2/3, differently fuel will pour out!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To unscrew aside a rug of a luggage compartment.
  2. To turn off a black protective cover.
  3. To remove the multicontact tip.
  4. To squeeze fixing plates on a connector drain топливопровода and to remove топливопровод.
  5. To turn off топливопровод supply of fuel.
  6. To turn off a plastic cap nut. More often she sits very strong. Therefore it is necessary to put to one of nut edges probably more stupid screw-driver and to weaken a nut in easy blows of a hammer on a handle core. If necessary to apply on other sides.
  7. Now it is possible to raise a protective flange a little.
  8. If it is necessary, to squeeze on flange inside (as already it was made outside) fixing plates drain топливопровода and to extend it in the direction down.
  9. Now to lower a hand in a fuel tank and to pull out the sensor from the case of a toplivozabornik, at the same time pressing "doggie".
  10. To disconnect the tip of the fuel sensor on a protective flange.
  11. Before installation to moisten a sealing ring of a protective flange with fuel.
  12. Provision of installation of a protective flange: the arrow on a flange should be opposite to a mark in a fuel tank.
