Engine overheat because of damage of a maple belt

If at models with the 4-cylinder engine the belt of the pump of the hydraulic booster of the steering mechanism breaks maple, the drive of the water pump and the engine at the same time interrupts overheats. Because of it it is irreversible sealing laying of a head of the block of cylinders, and at worst even all head of the block of cylinders – with respectively high accounts for repair is damaged.

  • Therefore: if the steering at models with the 4-cylinder engine during a trip suddenly becomes tyazhelokhodny, it is necessary to stop and check immediately serviceability of a maple belt over pulleys of the water pump and the pump of the hydraulic booster. If fears proved to be true: to cause the wrecker!
  • If the trouble happened to other maple belts, then it is not so tragic. In this case you go or without the amplifier of a steering (only models with 5-cylinder engines), either without the generator, or with the idle conditioner to the next workshop.
  • In models with the 5-cylinder engine of danger of an overheat does not exist, as the water pump here is put in action by a gear belt.
  • The same and at models with the 6-cylinder engine.
